Outstanding Achiever Scholarship - National Centre for Maritime Engineering
The National Centre for Maritime Engineering & Hydrodynamics (NCMEH), a National Centre of the Australian Maritime College (AMC), is offering these scholarships to recognise students who achieve high tertiary entrance scores and who are enrolling for the first time at the AMC in maritime engineering.
Scholarships will be awarded to students who have achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Ranking (ATAR) of 96 or above, OP3 or above, or IB37 or above, and who are commencing their first year of study in any undergraduate level degree maritime engineering programme offered by the NCMEH, in Semester 1, 2018.
To retain this award recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
$10,200. The scholarship will cover the first year of the on-campus accommodation costs in a single room at one of the Halls of Residence in Launceston. To be eligible, students must apply for accommodation with University Accommodation Services http://www.accommodation.utas.edu.au/newnham and cover the application fee and bond (these costs are NOT covered by this scholarship). PLUS recipients will receive $2,000 towards educational costs.

There is no requirement to complete an application for these scholarships. However, up until 31 October 2017, you are encouraged to apply online so that you can simultaneously apply for any other relevant scholarships. After 31 October 2017, you will be automatically assessed for this scholarship during the University Admission process.
