Scholarships & Bursaries

This scholarship was established when an anonymous donor gave the University $10,000 to assist senior medical students wishing to study Ophthalmology.

Awarded to a student in their fourth year of study in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine who is proceeding to an Elective term in an Ophthalmology unit outside Tasmania. The award will be made available to students wishing to take an Ophthalmology elective in an Ophthalmology unit outside Tasmania. Applications for the award are to be made at the beginning of the fourth year of the degree course.

Applicants will be required to address the objectives of the project, method of study, provide an explanation as to how this project relates to their career aspirations and to provide supervisor’s name and address and estimated costs of the project.
