Sir Victor Burley Postgraduate Scholarship in Music

The late Sir Victor Burley was one of Tasmania's most celebrated engineers. A graduate of the University of Tasmania, he had a lifelong involvement in tertiary education in Tasmania and a passion for music. His family has endowed this scholarship to encourage the development of advanced music skills, especially in the classical music area.

 

Eligibility

Available to a student commencing postgraduate study in music (preferably classical) at the University of Tasmania's Conservatorium of Music in Semester 1, 2020. Selection will be based on the applicant's potential to succeed in their chosen area of music study.

On-going Eligibility

To retain this award, recipients undertaking a postgraduate coursework program are required to achieve a minimum CREDIT result in all units studied each semester. Recipients undertaking a postgraduate research program are required to maintain satisfactory academic progress during their candidature.
