This scholarship is offered in memory of the late Dr John Hawkins who attended the University of Tasmania before completing his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 1953.

Available to an undergraduate student commencing a course at the University of Tasmania in the area of geography and environmental studies. Selection will be based on academic merit and financial need.

To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.

$5,000 per year
