Scholarships & Bursaries

Estelle Marguerite Taylor left a bequest to the University of Tasmania in 1976 to enable these scholarships. The scholarship is named in her honour and provides financial assistance for talented students to attend the University.

Available to a student commencing study in an undergraduate degree at the University of Tasmania in the first half of 2023. Selection will be based on the applicant’s demonstration of financial need and the desire to succeed in their studies. Preference may be given to students who have to reside away from home in order to attend university or, because of family or other commitments, have to travel a significant distance to attend a university campus.

To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.

$5,000 per year

Up to four years (does not include separate one-year Honours course)

Applicants who apply for Support to Study will be automatically assessed for this award.
