Scholarships & Bursaries

To celebrate over a century of high quality State education at secondary level in Tasmania, former students and friends of the School and College have donated to a trust to fund a perpetual scholarship for Year 12 Tasmanian students graduating from Hobart College who enrol at the University of Tasmania in any course.

Available to a Tasmanian resident who is commencing study in any undergraduate degree in the first half of 2023 after recently completing Years 11 and 12 at Hobart College (not more than two years prior to commencing at the University). Selection will be based on academic ability, financial need, contribution to College life, leadership, and work ethic.

To retain this award recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.

$4,000 and HECS fees for one year of any undergraduate course at the University of Tasmania.
