A scholarship has been endowed by the late Mrs Nancy Frederiksen, a long-time resident of Burnie, in memory of her late husband Harry. The award aims to provide opportunities to students with academic potential from the North-West and West coast of Tasmania to study at the University of Tasmania. Harry and Nancy lived in the North-West of Tasmania for many years where Harry pursued his passion for plants and landscape gardening.
Eligibility
Available to a student from the west or north-west of Tasmania commencing studies in the first half of 2021 in any undergraduate course at the University of Tasmania. Selection will be based on financial need. Preference will be given to a student who has a keen interest in plants and/or related areas like horticulture.
On-going Eligibility
To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
