Scholarships & Bursaries

This scholarship has been established in memory of Mr Lloyd Harris CBE (BSc 1942) by his wife Maggie Harris. Lloyd Harris, a respected businessman from Burnie, was instrumental in the establishment of the University of Tasmania's Cradle Coast campus. Lloyd was a leader of the community and even after retirement enriched the lives of others through his contributions to societies, events and community groups. This award continues his legacy to enable students from the region to access a university education.

Available to a student from north-west Tasmania who is commencing a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Tasmania in Semester 1, 2023.

To retain this award, recipients are required to maintain a CREDIT average in each semester.

$3,500 per year

Up to two years

Applicants who apply for Support to Study will be automatically assessed for this award.
