TasNetworks Women in Engineering Scholarship

TasNetworks is a Tasmanian State Owned Corporation that supplies power from the generation source to homes and business throughout the state. It was formed through a merger of Aurora Energy’s distribution low voltage network and TasNetworks high voltage network and commenced operations on 1 July 2014. TasNetworks wishes to support a scholarship at the University of Tasmania to support women studying Engineering.

 

Eligibility

Available to a female student undertaking the electrical power engineering stream and entering third year of the Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent degree) in Semester 1, 2020. A paid 12 week work placement at TasNetworks is available during the Summer vacation period.

On-going Eligibility

To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.

Up to two years
