The National Centre for Maritime Engineering & Hydrodynamics (NCMEH), a National Centre of the Australian Maritime College (AMC), is offering a number of scholarships to recognise students who achieve high tertiary entrance scores and who are enrolling for the first time at the AMC in maritime engineering.
Scholarships will be awarded to domestic students who have achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Ranking (ATAR) of 95 or above, OP3 or above, or IB37 or above in 2019, and who are commencing their first year of study in any undergraduate level degree maritime engineering programme offered by the NCMEH, in Semester 1, 2020.
International students who have achieved an ATAR in 2019 are encouraged to apply but will need to apply for the scholarship by the closing date and provide proof of ATAR, once available.
To retain this award recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
$10,200. The scholarship will cover the first year of the on-campus accommodation costs in a single room at one of the Halls of Residence in Launceston. To be eligible, students must apply for accommodation with University Accommodation Services http://www.utas.edu.au/accomm/future-residents/apply and cover the application fee and bond (these costs are NOT covered by this scholarship). PLUS recipients will receive $2,000 towards educational costs.
There is no requirement for domestic applicants to complete an application for these scholarships. However, up until 31 October 2019, you are encouraged to apply online so that you can simultaneously apply for any other relevant scholarships. After 31 October 2019, you will be automatically assessed for this scholarship during the University Admission process.
IMPORTANT: International students completing an ATAR in 2019 must apply for the scholarship by the closing date and provide proof of ATAR by emailing documentation, once available, to Scholarships.Office@utas.edu.au
