Two scholarships are offered by the Centre for Seafaring & Maritime Operations - Ocean Seafaring Section, part of the Australian Maritime College which is Australia's premier seafaring training institute.
Eligibility
Scholarships will be awarded to female students commencing the first year of studies in 2023 in one of the following programs: 23R Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Engineering) or 23Q Bachelor of Applied Science (Nautical Science) on the Launceston campus. Applicants must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.
On-going Eligibility
To retain this award recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
Amount
Approximately $5,990. The scholarship will help with one semester of the first year of on-campus accommodation. To be eligible, students must apply for accommodation with University Accommodation Services http://www.utas.edu.au/accomm/future-residents/apply and cover the application fee and bond (these costs are NOT covered by this scholarship). PLUS recipients will receive $2,000 towards educational costs.
