Scholarships & Bursaries

This scholarship has been endowed by the Australian Government in memory of Larry Knight, who was killed in the Beaconsfield Mine disaster in April 2006. Funding for the scholarship was provided by the Australian Government Department of Education.

Available to an Australian citizen or permanent resident who can demonstrate financial need and is commencing a course related to the mining industry (e.g. mining engineering, geology, etc) in Semester 1, 2023. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in the mining industry in their application.

To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Credit or Distinction result in all units studied each semester.

$13,000 per year - this includes HECS fees plus a living allowance.
