Scholarships & Bursaries

This scholarship was established in 2015, from gifts provided by past residents of Hytten Hall, to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the University of Tasmania. The scholarship will assist country students, as the past residents once were, to attain an undergraduate degree whilst being able to travel home and stay connected with their family, friends and community.

Available to a student commencing an undergraduate degree in any college in Hobart in the first half of 2023 who attended a Tasmanian high school outside of the municipalities of Hobart, Kingborough, Clarence, Glenorchy and Brighton. Applicants must have a permanent address postcode of 7109 - 7470. Selection will be based on academic merit and financial need.

To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
