Scholarships & Bursaries

The University of Tasmania wishes to support the academic aspirations of students with musical talent who, through their involvement and commitment to music, have the capacity and willingness to be ambassadors for the University of Tasmania and its commitment to performing arts.

Available to domestic students commencing or continuing a Bachelor of Music degree at the Hedberg in Semester 1, 2023. Selection will be based on applicant's musical ability through Auditions or Music Practice, demonstrated commitment to the study of music and their willingness and suitability to be an ambassador for the School of Music.

To retain this award, recipients are required to remain enrolled full-time each semester (at least 50 credit points per semester) and receive no less than a Credit average result each semester.

Applicants will be considered for two types of available scholarship packages:

Package 1 – Course Fees for HECS-eligible courses plus Living Allowance up to $4,000 per year ($500 per 12.5 credit points).

Package 2 – Course Fees for HECS-eligible courses.
