The University of Tasmania wishes to support the academic aspirations of students with musical talent who through their involvement and commitment to music have the capacity to be ambassadors for the University of Tasmania and its commitment to performing arts. Through these scholarships, the University also seeks to support students from diverse backgrounds to study at the Conservatorium of Music.
Available to Domestic students commencing an undergraduate degree at the Conservatorium of Music in Semester 1, 2021. Selection will be based on the applicant's playing ability and demonstrated commitment to the study of music. Preference will be given to students who can demonstrate that they will benefit most from the scholarship.
To retain this award, recipients are required to remain enrolled full-time each semester (100 credit points per calendar year), and receive no less than a Credit result for each unit each semester.
Applicants will be considered for three types of available scholarship packages:
Package 1 – Course Fees for HECS-eligible courses plus Living Allowance up to $6,000 per year ($750 per 12.5 credit points).
Package 2 – Course Fees for HECS-eligible courses plus Living Allowance up to $4,000 per year ($500 per 12.5 credit points).
Package 3 – Course Fees for HECS-eligible courses.
