The University of Tasmania Business Scholarship is offered by TSBE to encourage high performing international students from Indonesia, Latin America or Malaysia/Singapore to study at the University of Tasmania.
TSBE offers a curriculum that is driven by leading-edge research in business and economics, and the future needs of business, industry and professional bodies. TSBE’s curriculum is delivered using contemporary teaching approaches and offers a range of authentic work integrated learning experience with a strong grounding in modern business practices.
Available to high achieving international students from Indonesia, Latin America or Malaysia/Singapore who have an offer of a full-time place in an onshore TSBE undergraduate, honours or postgraduate coursework degree (excluding Master of Professional Accounting and Master of Professional Accounting Specialisation), commencing in Semester 2, 2020.
To be eligible, students must:
(a) be a citizen of Indonesia, Malaysia/Singapore or Latin America and be classified as an International Student as defined under the rules of the University of Tasmania;
(b) be an off-shore applicant (not currently in Australia);
(c) have received an offer of a full-time place in an ‘eligible business degree’; and
(d) be commencing the first year of their program in Semester 2, 2020.
Successful applicants who are offered the scholarship must accept their offer to study an eligible business degree at the University of Tasmania and pay the commencement fee outlined in their Letter of Offer within seven (7) days of being formally offered the scholarship or shall forfeit the scholarship and the scholarship shall be awarded to another applicant.
To maintain this scholarship students are required to achieve a Credit (5.0/7.0) cumulative grade point average (CGPA) at the end of each academic year in TSBE units only. The scholarship recipient may not repeat units or defer their eligible business degree before commencing or prior to graduation.
Four (4) x 100% scholarships are available for Semester 1 or 2, 2020. OR 50% for combined degree programs for the duration of the course.
