This scholarship is generously provided by the Department of State Growth Tasmania to assist with the promotion of Tasmania as a postgraduate study destination for Colombian students, particularly in the area of Blue and Green Sciences.
To be eligible, students must:
(a) be a citizen of Colombia and be classified as an International Student as defined under the rules of the University of Tasmania;
(b) have received an offer of a full-time place in an ‘eligible degree program’;
(c) be commencing the first year of their program in Semester 1, 2021.
NB students requiring up to 15 weeks of ELICOS in Semester 1, 2021 will be permitted to start their eligible degree program in Semester 2, 2021.
Successful applicants who are offered the scholarship must accept their offer to study an eligible degree program at the University of Tasmania and pay the commencement fee outlined in their Letter of Offer within seven (7) days of being formally offered the scholarship or shall forfeit the scholarship and the scholarship shall be awarded to another applicant.
To retain this award, recipients are required to remain enrolled in a full-time 100% load (4 x 12.5% units or equivalent), in one of the eligible listed degrees and achieve a minimum Credit (5.0/7.0) in all units studied each semester.
$10,000 as cash in equal amounts iin the first week of each semester, provided that the student is enrolled in a full-tim2e 100% load (4 x 12.5% units or equiv).
