These scholarships are to celebrate the opening of The Hedberg in Hobart. It is one of Tasmania’s most ambitious arts projects – a $110 million creative industries and performing arts development. It encompasses the Theatre Royal and the University Conservatorium of Music. The precinct aspires to be a destination that delivers a vibrant and exciting place for a range of audiences – the general public, tourists, researchers, educators, students and audiences.
These generous relocation scholarships are offered by the Conservatorium of Music to encourage interstate domestic students to study the Bachelor of Music at the University of Tasmania and to assist with relocation expenses.
Available to domestic students relocating from interstate who are commencing the Bachelor of Music (13O) in Semester 1, 2020. Students must be enrolled in a full-time load, equating to a minimum of four 12.5 credit point units per semester post-census date to receive payment of the scholarship.
To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
$5,000 (paid in two equal instalments shortly after census date in Semesters 1 and 2)
Applicants will be automatically assessed for this scholarship during the University Admission process.
