This scholarship is generously provided by a bequest to the University in 1922 by the late Pitt Cobbett to educate people in principles of political and social economy. The College of Arts, Law and Education and Tasmanian School of Business and Economics have established an access scholarship in his name to support Arts, Law and Business students experiencing financial hardship and who without financial support may not be able enrol at the University. The award is offered as part of the University of Tasmania Access Scholarship scheme.
Eligibility
Available to a student commencing one of the following combined degrees at the University of Tasmania in the first half of 2021: Bachelor of Arts – Bachelor of Laws; Bachelor of Business – Bachelor of Laws; or Bachelor of Arts – Bachelor of Business. Selection will be based on demonstration of financial need.
On-going Eligibility
To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
