The Australian Maritime Safety Authority is Australia's national agency responsible for maritime safety, protection of the marine environment, and maritime aviation search and rescue. We are motivated by our vision of 'Safe and clean seas, saving lives'.
As Australia’s national regulatory body, we promote the safety and protection of our marine environment and combat ship-sourced pollution. We provide the infrastructure for safety of navigation in Australian waters, and maintain a national search and rescue service for the maritime and aviation sectors.
One (1) AMSA Environmental Excellence Scholarship is available.
Eligibility
Available to a student commencing the first year of the Master of Marine and Antarctic Science at the Institute for Marine & Antarctic Studies in Semester 1, 2023.
Selection will be based on academic merit, and the applicant’s aspiration to work in the industry and having career goals which align with AMSA’s vision and mission. Mentoring by an AMSA employee may be available for the successful applicant.
On-going Eligibility
To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
