Scholarships & Bursaries

This scholarship is generously provided by Aurora Energy to honour the life of Michael Fenton, a long-standing, much-loved and respected member of the Aurora Energy finance team. The scholarship aims to celebrate Michael's legacy, a highly regarded and ultimate finance professional who served 21 years at Aurora Energy. Michael actively supported the development of young people and always took the time to pass on his expertise and knowledge, both at work and via volunteering for his beloved Scout group.

Available to students commencing a Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Economics, or a double degree with Business or Economics, at the University of Tasmania in the first half of 2023. Selection will be based on demonstration of financial need and community involvement. Mentoring opportunities with Aurora Energy may be available to the successful applicant.

To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.

$5,000 per year

Up to four years (does not include separate one-year Honours course)
