Mary Maxwell Travel Scholarship in Creative Arts and Media

This scholarship is generously provided by the Estate of Mary Maxwell to support Honours and postgraduate students in the School of Creative Arts and Media to take up a funded residency at the Rosamund McCulloch Studio in Paris, which provides both living and working space. Funds are inclusive of the Studio rent, with the remainder to be used toward individual travel, visas, living expenses and materials relevant to the residency.

 

Eligibility

Available to students currently undertaking Honours or postgraduate study in the School of Creative Arts and Media at the University of Tasmania. The scholarship will support a funded residency at the Rosamund McCulloch Studio in Paris. Selection will be based on the applicant’s demonstration of how this residency will support excellence in their research and their professional objectives, contribute to the arts in Tasmania and nationally upon their return, and their ability to be a good ambassador for the School and the University. Scholarship holders will be expected to write a short report on their return, and contribute to promotional activities as appropriate.

On-going Eligibility

• An illustrated report acquitting the residency to be published the School and University website

• Public talk or similar about the residency and outcomes to the school community including but not limited to student cohorts.
