Scholarships & Bursaries

This honours scholarship was generously established through a gift made by alumnus Dr David Warren, an associate research fellow in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Tasmania, and a further matched gift facilitated through the University. This scholarship was endowed to honour the significant contribution to maths, physics and the University made by Larry Forbes, retired University of Tasmania Professor in Applied Mathematics.

Available to a student commencing Honours in Mathematics or Physics in Semester 1, 2023. Selection will be based on academic merit, demonstrated commitment to the discipline of Mathematics and/or Physics, and quality of Honours research proposal.

To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
