Financial Planning Australia have established these scholarships with the support of The Office for Women, Prime Minister and Cabinet to assist women intending to upskill or refresh their skills in finance and economics to help them enter, re-enter and achieve leadership roles in these industries.
This scholarship is available to female students commencing a Bachelor of Business or a Bachelor of Economics in 2022. Applicants must be intending to/or interested in pursuing a major in Finance, Accounting or Business Economics.
To be eligible, applicants must be an Australian citizen, a permanent visa holder or a permanent humanitarian visa holder. Selection will be based on both financial need and academic merit.
Preference will be given to applicants who meet one or more of the following criteria: are re-entering the workforce, have low socio-economic status, are mature age, are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, are new migrants or are living in rural and remote areas.
To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
