Scholarships & Bursaries

Leigh Donnelly was an engineer with a number of public utilities during his career. After his death his mother, the late Ivy Holmes, endowed scholarships to support engineering students.

Available to a student who is enrolling in the second year of the Bachelor of Engineering or combined engineering degree in Semester 1, 2023. Applicants must have completed secondary school in Tasmania, can demonstrate financial need, and be an Australian citizen. The scholarship is intended to support students who wish to major in civil engineering.

To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
