J Malcolm Gillies Honours Scholarship in Genetics

Mrs Jane Gillies passed away in 1997 and provided a bequest to the University to endow scholarships, prizes and medals in Plant Science. This scholarship is part of this endowment and provides an award for an Honours student studying plant genetics.

 

Eligibility

Available to a student commencing Honours in the Discipline of Biological Sciences in Semester 1 2023, in the area of plant genetics. Candidates should also be aware that some University-wide scholarships are applicable for projects in biological sciences – this can be discussed with the Biological Sciences honours co-ordinator: eloise.foo@utas.edu.au

On-going Eligibility

To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
