D&MV McDonald Scholarship in Music

The D&MV McDonald Scholarship in Music was established at the University of Tasmania in 2008 by the late Dawson and Margaret McDonald to support music performance students of strings (violin, viola, cello or double bass) to study in the United Kingdom with a selected master musician.

 

Eligibility

Available to a student entering their final year of an undergraduate, honours or masters degree to fund a residency in the UK for up to 10 weeks during January/February. The selected student must be enrolled in a full-time music course studying one of the above instruments.

Amount

A package of support valued at up to $20,000 will be provided. This includes an airfare, accommodation and living allowance and tuition fees. Please note that the scholarship may not cover all costs for the successful applicant.

Eight to ten weeks residential course
