Brian Hartnett Scholarship in Science Teaching

This scholarship has been provided by Extractas Bioscience to mark the retirement of their managing director, Brian Hartnett, in 2009. Brian is passionate about the importance of science education and the need for quality teaching in the discipline. He established the generous Extractas Bioscience scholarship program at the University of Tasmania.

 

Eligibility

Available to a graduate in the sciences from northern Tasmania who is undertaking the Master of Teaching with the view to becoming a science teacher in Tasmania.

On-going Eligibility

To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.

Amount

$6,000 per year

Duration

Up to two years
