This scholarship is provided by Zonta International from a bequest by Jane M Klausman, a member of the Zonta Club, New York. During her career, Ms Klausman was a professional secretary, parliamentarian and entrepreneur. Zonta International is a great believer of gender equality and the Jane M Klausman (JMK) Women in Business Scholarship program helps women pursue undergraduate and master's degrees in business and business related areas and overcome gender barriers from the classroom to the boardroom. The program operates at the Zonta club, district/region and international levels.
Available to a female student enrolled in either an undergraduate Business degree (must have completed first year Business), or a Masters by coursework program in Business in Semester 1 2020, who has demonstrated outstanding potential. A shortlist of applicants will be interviewed in May, and the recipient of the award will be considered for further scholarships through the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship program. One district level scholarship and six international scholarships are available. Students are required to provide verified evidence that they have a university admission to a course at the time of application and that it will be ongoing at the time of announcements for the District and International level scholarships in November each year.
