The Governor’s Environment Scholarship

The Governor of Tasmania is patron of these prestigious scholarships, which are sponsored by Tasmanian Government and business organisations.

 

Eligibility

Available to a student who is commencing an honours or masters research project in 2023 in any area with demonstrated relevance to a Tasmanian environmental topic. Applications will be assessed on academic merit, capacity to deliver proposed project outcomes, practical applications and the environmental worth of the proposed research project.

On-going Eligibility

To retain this award, recipients are required to undertake the research project for which they have been awarded the scholarship, and achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.

Amount

$12,500 - Interstate students commencing study at the University of Tasmania for the first time will also receive a return airfare from their nearest capital city to Tasmania.
