Scholarships and Bursaries Scholarships for International Students You are here UTAS Home Scholarships and Bursaries Scholarships for International Students The UTAS Scholarships Program supports the University’s commitment to offer students an exemplary learning environment. The program provides students with significant financial and academic support to study at the University of Tasmania. Awards are offered across all disciplines at undergraduate, honours, postgraduate and research levels. Selection is based on academic merit and/or financial need. Scholarships for Commencing International Students International students who have completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia and who have a tertiary entrance score can apply for scholarships provided by the UTAS Scholarships Program. Students will be assessed on their year 12 results and considered alongside other applicants. Students taking the International Baccalaureate are also welcome to apply. All other commencing international students are assessed for a Tasmanian International Scholarship (TIS) when they apply for a course at UTAS (no application for scholarship is necessary). Scholarships for Current International Students Current International Students at UTAS may apply for most scholarships provided by the UTAS Scholarships Program, for current students. You should read the selection criteria very carefully to confirm your eligibility. Tasmanian International Scholarships (TIS) All international students who submit an application to study most courses at UTAS will be assessed for a Tasmanian International Scholarship (TIS). Applicants are automatically assessed for this scholarship, no scholarship application is necessary.
